Confeitaria Lisboa

I found myself in this little place on Avenida de Roma today. It was my first time and I’ve always walked past it, looking longingly in at the treats in the window.
Today, my hairdresser was still on lunch when I arrived for my monthly cut and, as the barbershop is just 100m away, it seemed like a good opportunity to try this place out.
While I only had a cup of Earl Grey and a Bola de Berlim (or a custard doughnut to me), I was reassured by the true artisan nature of the place – it took me 5 minutes to decide which cake I wanted!

What was even more pleasing was the decidedly non-artisan price. This little snack set me back less than €2.50.
